Fear Free

We are part of a growing movement within the veterinary community. A movement to rethink the way that we care for pets. This movement is based upon the premise that a pet’s emotional well-being is intimately tied to the level of care they receive. Many dogs and cats experience fear during visits to the vet. Unfamiliar animals, sights, sounds, and smells create a stress response. Their bodies then produce stress hormones which alter their body temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate. These systems are relied on to assess your pet’s overall health. This can make it difficult to tell a healthy pet with a stress response from a sick pet. That is why we are proud to have earned Fear Free certification. It means thinking deeply about your pet’s experience. It means having every member of our team on board with this mission. Because when it comes to your pet, only the best will do.
