4th of July Pet Care
Are you planning on setting off fireworks in your backyard? Be sure to keep your pet indoors. Even the most well trained animal can get spooked by loud noises. When your cat or dog is scared and there are hot objects and/or fire nearby, it's possible for your pet to get hurt or burned.
Maybe you’re not setting off fireworks, but lots of people in your neighborhood are? It's normal for your pet to be bothered by these sudden, loud noises. When you take your pets out to go to the bathroom and there are fireworks going on, be sure to keep them on leashes.
Of course, you're going to do your best to keep your pet safe and by your side, but accidents happen. Make sure that your pet's microchip information is up to date in the microchip company's database and if your pet isn't microchipped, talk to your veterinarian about having this simple, in office procedure. Make sure your dog is licensed, and that the tag on your dog's collar with your contact information is up to date.
