Amanda DavisVeterinary Assistant
Amanda has worked at Dove Mountain Veterinary since opening day in April 2017. Along with her technician duties, she is also one of our technician trainers who provides knowledge and expertise to our new employees. Amanda is a graduate of the veterinary assistant program at Pima Medical Institute and says she continues to learn something new every day. She shares her home with two very fluffy dogs named Boo Boo and Sprocket, and her cat Clarence.
Carina MelgarejoCertified Veterinary Technician
Carina was born in California and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She graduated from Pima Community College in 2015 with an Associate’s of Applied Science, then continued on to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. Carina loves working with all kinds of animals, but has a special interest in exotics. She has two snakes: Victoria (Boa), Malfoy (Cornsnake), and a bird named Chacito (Green Cheek Conure). She also has three dogs: Tito (Shih Tzu), Chachi (Maltipoo), and Biggie (Cocker Spaniel Mix). During her time off Carina likes to spend time with her family and spend time outdoors, hiking or having a BBQ.
Sergio MurilloKennel Technician
Sergio is the kennel technician at Dove Mountain Veterinary. His background is in pet training and animal handling. Sergio’s passion is for pet behavior. He cares for the many fur-babies that board with us, and concerns himself heavily with their physical and emotional well-being. Outside of work Sergio can be found in the park with his borzoi, Good Apollo. The pair hope to start a pet therapy team to help Tucsonans heal physical or emotional ailments.
Cynthia SilvaVeterinary Assistant
Cynthia comes to Dove Mountain Veterinary with 10 years of experience in the veterinary field. Currently, she is continuing her education to obtain her certificate as a veterinary technician. Cynthia loves working with our furry friends who need a little extra love due to anxiety, and does a wonderful job with them! She has a special interest in dentistry and surgeries in the veterinary field and enjoys the learning experiences she is gaining at Dove Mountain. She has a BIG furry family that include a Miniature Pinscher named Missy, a Bullmastiff named Ginger and three Chow Chow pups; along with many other furry animals. In her spare time she loves to spend time with her son and family.
Crystal NelsonVeterinary Assistant
Crystal was born and raised in South Texas but has since traveled the world with her husband, Petty Officer Nelson of the United States Navy. She attended Cedar Valley College in Dallas, TX working toward an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology and is certified by the American Animal Hospital Association to uphold exceptional practice standards. She is a dedicated patient advocate and committed to continuing education.
Amanda Jo TwiddyVeterinary Assistant
Amanda was raised in South Tucson. She found her passion at a young age; rescuing and bringing home any animal she could. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 2016 with an Associates in Applied Science and is working toward becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician. Outside of work, Amanda’s pride is her family. She is the mother to three boys, three dogs, four cats, and a turtle!
Angela WilliamsVeterinary Assistant
Angela is a born and raised Tucsonan who joined the DoveMountain team in September 2017. She graduated from Apollo college in 2006 andrecently obtained her Associates of Science from Pima Community College. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family which includes her husband, 2 sons, 2 dogs, and 2 cats.
Tiffany ClemonsVeterinary Assistant
Tiffany is originally from Dallas, TX and is currently in the Veterinary Technician program at Pima Medical Institute and will graduate in September 2018. Tiffany had the opportunity to participate in an internship with big cats, and hopes to work with them more in the future. She currently has two dogs and five cats. When she is not in school or at the clinic, Tiffany can be found curled up with a cat and a good book.
Cierra GonzalezVeterinary Assistant
Cierra was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She grew up with a passion for all animals and decided to pursue becoming a Veterinary Technician. Cierra attended Pima Medical Institute to become a Veterinary Assistant. In her free time, Cierra can be found relaxing with her beautiful American Bull mix Caesar and her four chihuahuas (Chino, Lola, Lucy, and Lily).
Tegan WamboldVeterinary Assistant
Tegan is a full-time student at the University of Arizona and will be graduating in May 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Sciences. She discovered her passion for veterinary medicine as a child when she and her mother raised and bottle-fed orphaned kittens. After graduation, Tegan plans on continuing her education to achieve a PhD in Animal Behavioral Sciences. In her free time, she likes hiking in the mountains, then coming home and napping with her two cats, Milo and Penny.
